Mr. Lalit Naik

Mr. Lalit Naik has been Business Head – Chemicals of the Aditya Birla Group since November 2009. He has had well rounded global exposure of over 25 years in the building materials and chemicals sectors. Mr. Naik started his career with Godrej Soaps and has also worked with Dow Chemicals and BASF India Limited, where he became the Chief Executive. In November 2002, he joined British Plasterboard as Managing Director, which was later acquired by Saint-Gobain. Mr. Naik went on to become Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific (Construction Products) at Saint-Gobain. A chemical engineer from IIT Kanpur, Mr. Naik did his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Mr. Kailash Chandra Jhanwar
Managing Director

Mr. Kailash Chandra Jhanwar has 36 years of work experience in the corporate sector. This includes 13 years in senior management positions, including project management. He headed three cement manufacturing units before moving to the filament yarn business. Mr. Jhanwar completed his B.Com. and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).


Mr. A. K. Agarwala
Non-Executive Director

Mr. A. K. Agarwala has vast experience in senior leadership roles in various industries. He joined Hindalco in 1959 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 1998. He is presently a Trustee of the G. D. Birla Medical Research and Education Foundation, Vaibhav Medical, Education Foundation, Aditya Vikram Birla Memorial Trust and Sarla Basant Birla Memorial Trust. A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), Mr. Agarwala also did his B.Com. and LLB.


Ms. Preeti Gupta
Non-Executive Additional Director

Ms. Preeti Gupta is presently President Rewards & Performance Management, Aditya Birla Group and has been associated with the Group Human Resources for over 15 years. Ms. Gupta has 25 years of HR experience and prior to joining the Aditya Birla Group, she has worked as Rewards Consultant and an HR Generalist with Hewitt Associates, Parasrampuria Industries and Pertech Computers. Ms. Gupta has a Post Graduate Degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI and an Executive MBA (Advanced Management Program) from the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Biswajit Choudhuri

Mr. Biswajit Choudhuri has 46 years of work experience with expertise in the fields of engineering, banking, finance and management. He was the Chairman and Managing Director of United Bank of India from 1996 to 2001. During 1992-96, he was the Executive Director of UCO Bank. Mr. Choudhuri did his B. Tech. (Hons) in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and is a Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICWAI).

Mr. Girish Mohanlal Dave

Mr. Girish Mohanlal Dave is an eminent advocate and a senior partner of a well-known law firm. He has had over 47 years of experience in the field of law. Mr. Dave completed his M.Com. and LLB and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

Mr. Jagdish Chandar Chopra

Mr. Jagdish Chandar Chopra has worked in the corporate sector in senior management positions for over 50 years. He has been Marketing Director of Hindustan Lever, Senior Vice President and Director of Voltas, Senior Vice President and Director – Marketing at Tata Consultancy Services, apart from being on the Board of a number of Tata companies. He has also been a member of the Board of Governors of the National Council of Applied Economic Research , as well as committees of the Planning Commission. He was also Vice Chairman of Agro Foods Punjab, a joint company of the Punjab Government and Voltas, which handled the entry of Pepsi in to India. Mr. Chopra did his M.A. in Economics.

Mr. Prem Prakash Sharma

Mr. Prem Prakash Sharma has had 38 years of experience in the Indian Administrative Services (IAS). He is an M.A. in Economics and has also completed his LLB.
