ABCIL produces aluminium chloride anhydrous granules of 99.5 per cent purity. Aluminium chloride anhydrous acts as the principal catalyst in the Friedel-Crafts reaction for manufacturing ethyl benzene, isopropyl benzene, hydrocarbon resins, terpene resins, polybutenes, anthraquinone, ethyl chloride, dodecyl benzene, dyestuffs such as phthalo-cyanine blues and greens, alkyl benzene, titanium dioxide, metaphenoxy benzaldehyde etc.
Various organic and inorganic chemicals including ethyl benzene, isopropyl benzene and titanium dioxide are made using aluminium chloride anhydrous.
Through its use in the Friedel-Crafts reaction, aluminium chloride anhydrous helps in the manufacture of dyestuffs.
